Laser Hair Removal

We are proud to offer you every option for laser hair removal available today, for every skin tone and almost every hair type.

Treatment Options:

Cool Glide - Unlike other lasers for hair removal, Cool Glide can be used on tanned skin, so you can continue to use this method all year long.

Pro-Wave – This is a light-based method better suited for treating lighter skin-tones. Also, because the application mechanism is larger and quicker, it is used for large surface areas, such as legs and back.

Lumenis One – Appropriate for most skin types, excluding tanned skin.

About the Procedure:

Laser hair removal treatments reduce unwanted hair.  Using the safest, state-of-the-art lasers, our licensed practitioners will pass a chilled "wand-like" mechanism over the areas to be treated. The laser administers a high-energy controlled beam of energy, which damages the hair follicle and destroys its ability to re-grow. During the treatment, hair follicles absorb the laser or light energy and convert it to heat.  Significantly less hair grows back with each treatment.

Laser treatments can take anywhere from a few minutes to hours depending on the number of areas to be treated. This procedure is done on an outpatient basis.

It is typically necessary to have 4 more treatments to achieve desired results.  This is because hair grows in 3 cycles: active, dormant and shedding/falling out stage, and laser hair removal is only effective during the active stage.

Results:

You will notice a general reduction in the amount of unwanted hair over the course of several months.

Recovery & Aftercare:

You may have what looks like a rash at the treated area.  Normal side effects after treatment include redness, swelling and a feeling similar to sunburn. This should resolve within several hours to several days. You may shave or trim hair in-between treatments.
